with one person...

YOU!

Are you an author?

So am I.

Hey there, my name is Melissa Rowe, and I help aspiring authors create their Author Platform. It’s where we all get to skip the mental spam that’d send us into a classic Christmasy-food-coma, especially when it comes to creating author platforms.

What’s our street-cred?

*rocks in creaky rocking chair on front porch, to pause and peek over the rim of my glasses..*

I remember the moment I’d just signed my first publishing contract, holding a glass of champagne in one hand while on the phone to the publisher, who asked, “How’s your author platform looking?”

That left me blinking at the phone as the bubbles fizzled in my champagne glass.

What the f**k is an author platform!?!

What followed was a race to beat the clock before they published my first fiction book, that was the beginning of my intense deep dive of discovery all about creating an author platform.

Back then, information either read like a laundry list or it was a spammy waste of precious writing time, while some information was so technical I needed an interpreter to make sense of it all. This is where I’d add a Gif of myself face-planting the desk in utter frustration, where the keyboard bounces and the pen rolls onto the floor.

I bet you can relate.

So how does this help you?

While working as a corporate consultant who specialises in streamlining work processes, (boring, right!) I started working on my author platform, that weirdly became an obsession!

But I wasn’t the only one!

I helped a writer friend create her Author Platform in one afternoon. Then another. Then another. Pretty soon I was standing before sold-out classes while running one-on-one global consultations, in between creating author brands and dressing up author websites for many aspiring authors.

You see, I’d earned my stripes from trawling my way through the trenches, skipping the scammers, scrolling through those eye-rolling fluff-filled pages of BS, along with those time-wasting junk-filled courses of overpriced horse-dungso you don’t have to!

The result is a simplified creation process tailored to suit you, so you can get back to doing what you love mostwriting your next bestseller.

Really?

You need more on me when we’re all about you!

Well, okay then, back when I was a wannabe adventurist – I somehow lost my way climbing the corporate ladder…

There was so. Much. Pressure. In that daily grind among the well-dressed zombies, working on my twenty-cup-a-day-coffee-diet! Any wonder I started daydreaming, that it ended up in a book to become a bestseller, to do it again, and again… That’s how I escaped (before I told my boss what I really thought) with my desk plant, Norm, to live happily ever after in my head—in the outback! Now, as a fictional author and award-winning fairy-blogmother, I use that ho-hum corporate knowledge to work for me and not for ‘the man’. (Oh, and Norm got to set down some solid roots too.)

And now I get to share the good stuff with you where you’ll have the ability grow your author platform whenever and wherever. We’ll call it the new form of author procrastination, done in a way to suit you and your readers without selling your grandma’s heirlooms for that website or being a time-slave to the socials.

If I can do it, so can you. What are you waiting for?

*holds out hand*
