I feel this deserves a drum roll with a ringmaster in a circus, waving his top hat through the sawdust particles that float into the far corners of the big tent. Kind of like Hugh Jackman in the Greatest showman who screeches over his handheld megaphone:
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce
the Author Platform’s Laundry list!”
The list below is the basics of what goes into the author platform :
- The Author Name
- An Author Brand
- Your Author Website
- An Author’s Newsletter
- And then your choice of Social Media. But only if you want to because you don’t have to! You should see how many of my student’s faces just melt with relief when I tell them that they don’t have to be a slave to social media when they have a solid foundation built into their amazing author platform.
I know, we’re giving away some of our secrets! But it’s better than letting you waste all your precious writing time searching all over the internet for solutions that actually give you an answer, not just the laundry list.
